Fair usage policy
Last updated 27 October 2026
Customer allowances, occasional overages and when to move to a larger plan. This policy forms part of our terms of service. Questions go to [email protected].
The allowance
Starter includes 2,000 customers enabled per billing month. Growth includes 10,000. Occasional overages are fine, with no automatic overage fees or plan changes. If you consistently exceed your allowance, you will need to upgrade to a larger plan or agree a custom plan with us.
What counts
We count each distinct verified Stripe customer enabled at any point in the billing month once, including free, trial and paid customers. Deactivation does not remove usage already incurred that month. Customers who remain inactive stop counting in later months. Returning for the same link does not count again. We do not count your whole Stripe customer list or people who only arrive through a referral. Test and live usage are kept separate.
Other excessive usage
The referrer allowance is not a promise of unlimited requests, traffic or processing. Unusually heavy use that creates disproportionate costs or affects the service for others may also need a review, even below the allowance. We may temporarily restrict unusually heavy use to protect the service. We will contact you to understand your needs and discuss a sustainable way forward, without automatic charges or plan changes.
When your programme grows
If you consistently exceed your allowance, we will contact you to arrange an upgrade or a custom plan. Larger programmes are welcome to talk to us before or after joining. We will agree any plan change with you first.
We will discuss a sustainable way to support your use. If we cannot agree a way forward, we may need to restrict use or close the account, with reasonable advance notice and time to make other arrangements. Any such step will be handled by a person under our terms of service. Crossing the allowance alone is not a breach of those terms.
